Decisions, decisions!

Life is all about making decisions, taking decisions. Some big and some small… some that can veritably shape the future of the world or just your own destiny. Decisions can scare us… they scare me. It’s not that I’m not sure of myself, I’m just anxious I can’t always control the outcome. Shows that I’m quite the Virgo!

Still, we need to make decisions and sometimes take a leap of faith. Despite being a control freak, there’s a part of me that’s always loved taking chances. The thrill of the unknown is exciting and often appealing. I like a new challenge and willing to accept it head on. Life needs to keep moving. Sometimes, it makes absolute sense to venture into the unknown and see where it goes from there….which brings me to one my favorite poems… A cliché, I know!

The Road Not Taken ~ Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
